Express Entry Associated Stream Nova Scotia Announces

First Invitations

Nova Scotia province current Stream of Labor Market Priorities announced its initial invitations Wednesday, focusing Express Entry applicants with available work experience as first educators of children and assistants.

A sum of 314 invitations was declared to qualified applicants in the pool of federal Express Entry with minimum two years of work experience in National Occupational Classification 4214.

Lynette Macleod, the spokesperson for the Office of Immigration Nova Scotia, said C.I.C News that an applicant's score of Comprehensive Ranking System was not a factor of selection.

Macleod told Express Entry applicants who obtained a Letter of Interest now have 30 days to present a full application to Nova Scotia.

Nova Scotia declared the creation of the Stream of Labor Market Priorities on August 2, saying it will be applied to call Express Entry applicants who satisfy “market-identified labor shortages” to apply for a nomination of the province.

Express Entry handles the profiles of applicants in the Federal Skilled Trades Class, Federal Skilled Worker Class, and Canadian Experience Class.

Express Entry applicants who are accepted for a provincial nomination from the province of Nova Scotia will get an extra 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System score of Express Entry and move to the head of the line for an I.T.A for permanent residence to Canada.

The Immigration province Office represents the stream as manageable and told the designated professions would vary from draw to draw depending on the requirements of Nova Scotia.

This current stream is an excellent example of how Nova Scotia is fine-tuning and innovating its advantage of Express Entry, told David Cohen, superior partner with the immigration law firm of Campbell Cohen in Montreal.

To be considered by the Stream of Nova Scotia’s Labor Market Priorities, the initial step is to present a profile to the system of Express Entry.
