Australia Resident Return Visa


Australian citizens hold the natural right of entering Australia from overseas, whereas non citizens have to acquire a Resident Return visa (subclass 155) that authorizes them to come into and stay in Australia.


An Individual may be able to attain this visa if :

  • The travel duration of the present permanent visa expires or is ready to expire.
  •  The Resident Return visa is applicable for present or previous permanent residents of Australia and former citizens of Australia, who wish to travel to a foreign location and come back as Australian permanent residents.

Privileges granted:

  • The Resident Return visa will allow an individual to maintain or get back his or her status as a permanent resident of Australia
  • Authorizes an individual to reside in Australia indefinitely and leave or enter Australia as many times as one wishes to do so until the valid duration of travel period.
